Young striker Sayed Abu Farchi completes a high-profile move to the MLS and will join the Colorado Rapids after agreeing to waive a portion of his future sale percentage to secure his release.

As revealed by ynet, the yellow team will receive 5.4 million euros from the Colorado Rapids for the striker, who agreed to waive a 500,000-dollar bonus to finalize the deal. He will not travel with the team for the Conference League playoff return leg against Lugano.

The striker's representatives claim that the club conditioned his move to the Colorado Rapids on him waiving a significant portion of his sale bonus. Following negotiations, Abu Farhi will receive 10% of the six million dollar fee instead of 17.5%, as he did not want the deal to collapse.

The Maccabi Tel Aviv striker has finalized all details with the Colorado Rapids, the American league management needs to approve it, and it seems he has already played his farewell match for the yellow team. His entourage estimates that he will fly to the United States on Tuesday.

The striker will fly with Maccabi Tel Aviv to Bulgaria for the second leg of the Europa League third qualifying round on Thursday (21:00), after which he will head to the USA to officially join the MLS side.

Maccabi Tel Aviv and Colorado Rapids are nearing a deal for the transfer of Sayed Abu Farchi. The package is valued at over $6 million including performance-based bonuses. A final decision on whether the player will feature in Thursday's return leg against CSKA Sofia depends on owner Mitch Goldhar's approval.

Maccabi Tel Aviv estimates that the deal will go through: Sayed Abu Farchi will be able to earn up to 880 thousand dollars per season in the first two years, his intended team is convinced that he will contribute greatly to them - and that they will sell him for a much higher amount than the purchase price.

Colorado Rapids offered six million dollars while Maccabi Tel Aviv demands eight, and now a structure is being examined to bridge the gap using an additional million dollars in bonuses, similar to the deal in which the yellow-clad striker was sold to the New England Revolution last year.
