Sayed Abu Farchi to sign with Colorado Rapids after Sofia match

Sayed Abu Farchi is expected to head to the USA at the end of the week to sign with the Colorado Rapids. The striker, who will fly today, Wednesday, with Maccabi Tel Aviv to Bulgaria for the second leg of the Europa League third qualifying round against CSKA Sofia, will sign with the MLS team after the match, which will likely be his last in the yellow uniform.

Abu Farchi will receive 400,000 dollars per season for his first two years in Colorado. A senior official at Colorado confirmed to ynet that an agreement has been reached with Maccabi Tel Aviv, which will receive 6 million dollars for the player, excluding potential bonuses totaling 1 million dollars. Maccabi had hoped that Abu Farchi would remain for the next pair of European matches (against OFI Crete if they advance in the Europa League, or against Lugano in the Conference League in case of defeat on Thursday), but it seems unlikely that Colorado will agree to this.

Another player traveling with the team is defender Roy Revivo, who, amidst negotiations with Elche, had demanded not to travel to the first match in Batumi, causing significant frustration within the club. However, a conversation between his father, Haim, and sporting director Steven Vaneern helped resolve the tension. Elche has submitted an offer of 3 million euros, but Maccabi is demanding 15 percent of any future sale and requiring the Revivo family to waive 450,000 euros owed to them under their current contract. With the Spanish league starting this weekend and the transfer window closing in two and a half weeks, further negotiations are expected in the coming days.
