Following the agreement between Maccabi Tel Aviv and the Colorado Rapids for the acquisition of Sayed Abu Farchi, the striker's contract has now been finalized and is currently with the MLS league management for approval.

Every contract that a player signs with a team in the league is effectively a contract with the league management, and therefore it is the one that must approve it. Abu Farchi's contract includes various clauses with bonuses for goals scored and the number of games played. The striker is awaiting this approval; he is still expected to report to Maccabi Tel Aviv's training this morning, although it is highly likely that he will not play in tomorrow's Toto Cup semi-final against Maccabi Netanya.

Naturally, his appearance as a substitute the day before yesterday against CSKA Sofia is expected to be his last for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

As recalled, the clubs agreed on a basic transfer fee of six million dollars, alongside an additional one million dollars in performance bonuses, similar to the agreement with the New England Revolution regarding Dor Turgeman, as well as future resale percentages that will remain with Maccabi Tel Aviv if Abu Farchi is sold to a team outside the United States.

The assessment in Abu Farchi's circle is that he will fly to the United States on Tuesday.
