Amanda Anisimova Denies Ozempic Use After Online Body-Shaming Comments
Tennis star Amanda Anisimova has denied using Ozempic to lose weight, lashing out at online body-shaming and persistent rumors regarding her physical transformation.

American tennis star Amanda Anisimova has firmly hit back at online rumors and claims suggesting that her notable physical transformation is the result of using Ozempic or other weight-loss medications. The 25-year-old athlete, who frequently shares updates on social media, addressed the persistent speculation directly.
To all the health experts and professional body commentators in the comments, I am not using Ozempic, she wrote. Please leave me alone and do not include me in your unique posts. According to reports, Anisimova later deleted the post, which had been shared with her 522,000 Instagram followers.
This is not the first time Anisimova has spoken out against body-shaming and online commentary regarding her appearance. In the past, she confronted a user who called her too heavy, and following the Madrid tournament in 2023, she remarked on the overwhelming obsession people have with her physique. Earlier this year, she highlighted the constant cyberbullying she faces daily.
The tennis player previously took a mental health break from the sport to protect her well-being. Today, she is ranked 11th in the world, having reached a career-high ranking of third earlier this year.
