Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball club faces mounting pressure as fan outrage peaks. On Saturday evening, dozens of supporters gathered outside the Kfar Shmaryahu home of club co-owner Udi Recanati to protest Maccabi's alarming sporting crisis and ongoing ownership disputes.

Demonstrators arrived armed with protest banners, drums, and megaphones, chanting slogans demanding changes in club leadership and criticizing management's financial investments. Upon realizing Udi Recanati was not home, protesters marched to the nearby residence of Shai Recanati, continuing their rally under the supervision of two police patrol cars.

The protest erupts amidst one of the yellow-and-blue's darkest stretches in recent memory. Maccabi currently rides a six-game losing streak across all competitions, holding a dismal 2-8 record in the EuroLeague.

Ron Dahan, a representative of the "Staying on the Map" protest headquarters, spoke out about the year-long battle: "We have been in this fight for over a year. We previously called on Danny Federman alongside Udi Recanati to leave Maccabi. We thought then they were the problem, unwilling to invest, and today it blows up in everyone's face. We are here to demand they sell the club."

Dahan emphasized the historic stature of the club: "Everyone sees the state of the team. It is extremely difficult, perhaps the worst I remember in my 36 years as an officer. We have nothing personal against any owner, but the club is above everything. Maccabi Tel Aviv is an empire, a club whose minimum standard is the playoffs." Addressing potential new ownership by Richard Deitch, Dahan noted supporters would welcome anyone willing to pull the club out of its deep crisis.
