The Israeli runner ranked 14th out of 24 runners in the two semi-final heats and did not make it to the 1,500-meter final. Adva Cohen finished in tenth place in the 3,000-meter steeplechase final.

The Israeli managed to secure the eighth and final spot in the final only in the last meters, stopping the clock at 9:37.15 minutes.

The runner from Maccabi Tel Aviv clocked 4:11.25 minutes in the 1,500-meter run at a competition in Belgium, while Darge Chekol and Zamano Moche also impressed. Yotam Tiah stole the show with a new Israeli under-18 record in the 5,000-meter run.
