Yigal Damri Awarded Lifetime Achievement Honor by Negev Contractors Association
Yigal Damri, founder and CEO of Y.H. Dimri, received a lifetime achievement award from the Negev Contractors Association for his decades-long contribution to the real estate sector and the development of the Negev.
Yigal Damri, the founder and CEO of Y.H. Dimri, has been awarded a lifetime achievement award by the Contractors and Builders Association of Beersheba and the Negev.
The award was presented during the association's annual conference, attended by leaders in the construction and real estate sector. The honor recognizes Damri's decades of entrepreneurship, his contribution to the industry, and his role in developing the Negev and building the country. Notably, the award was presented by Eli Avisaror, a competing contractor who serves as the chairman of the association.
A Journey from the Negev to National Leadership
Reflecting on the honor, Damri expressed deep emotion and gratitude. "The Negev is my home. This is where I started and where my roots and the company's roots are planted," Damri stated. He emphasized his belief in hard work, long-term vision, and persistence without shortcuts. From its beginnings in Netivot, the company expanded nationwide while remaining committed to providing quality housing options for Israeli families.
"I believe in the continued development of the cities in the south and north and in eliminating the concept of the 'periphery'," Damri said. "Our success was built thanks to my family, managers, employees, and the trust placed in us by apartment buyers and business partners."
Growth and Market Presence
Eli Avisaror praised Damri as an exemplary entrepreneur who grew from the Negev to build one of the largest and leading companies in Israel without forgetting his roots. Born in the south, Damri began his career as a farmer before entering construction and founding Y.H. Dimri in Netivot in 1989.
