Israel Canada Hotels Secures German Court Approval for Munich Acquisition
Israel Canada Hotels secured German court approval to acquire two Munich hotels with 536 rooms for EUR 8.8 million, advancing its European expansion amid regional market shifts.

Israel Canada Hotels has secured court and insolvency administrator approval in Germany to acquire the operations of THR München, marking a major milestone in its European expansion strategy. The deal, valued at approximately EUR 8.8 million, covers two hotels in Munich—H2 Hotel München Messe and H4 Hotel München Messe—featuring a combined 536 rooms operating under long-term lease agreements.
The company announced that the transaction amount has already been paid using internal sources. The wholly-owned subsidiary is currently working with German insolvency trustees to officially finalize the share transfer in the coming weeks. This acquisition follows a broader agreement from June 2026, which involved plans to acquire operations across five German hotels.
European Expansion Amid Market Shifts
This move builds on Israel Canada's recent entry into the Italian hotel market through Brown Hotels, which acquired the operating company of Amedia Milan via ICH Europe. The group's international portfolio has also expanded to include six strategic hotels in major German cities, highlighted by the iconic Excelsior Hotel in Berlin alongside properties in Munich, Hamburg, and Leipzig.
European tourism and hospitality disruptions have created unprecedented acquisition opportunities for Israeli firms. The German hotel group Revo Hospitality Group, which previously operated over 260 hotels, faced severe cash flow pressures, leading to insolvency proceedings and asset sales. Israeli companies including Fattal and Israel Canada Hotels have capitalized on these conditions, acquiring operating rights for 15 hotels in Germany and the Netherlands for a total of approximately EUR 40 million.
