Illegal workers in a carpentry shop and 75 kg of cannabis: Four locations closed in the north in one week
Three illegal workers were found in a carpentry shop and a construction site in Sheikh Danun. In Shlomi, dozens of kilograms of cannabis and growing equipment were seized. In Acre, the closure of an apartment suspected of being a drug den was extended by 60 days.
Four closure orders were issued within a week for businesses and apartments in the northern region following police operations against the employment of illegal workers and locations suspected of being used for criminal activity.
During an operation by the Nahariya police station, three illegal workers were discovered in a carpentry shop and at a construction site in the village of Sheikh Danun. Following these findings, a criminal investigation was opened, and the Coastal District Commander, Nitzav Yechiel Bohdana, signed administrative closure orders for both locations for a period of 30 days.
In another operation by the same station, an apartment in Shlomi was uncovered, suspected of being used as a drug laboratory. Approximately 75 kg of a substance suspected to be cannabis were seized, along with equipment used for cultivation. As the investigation progressed, the District Commander signed an administrative closure order for the premises.
Meanwhile, officers from the Acre station worked to extend the closure of an apartment suspected of being used as a drug den. The court issued a judicial closure order for the location for an additional 60 days, following the administrative order previously issued for the apartment.
