A 38-year-old off-road vehicle driver from Rama was arrested after police reported he drove dangerously on Route 864 in The North, crossed a solid line, and attempted to flee from a police cruiser last week. The incident occurred during enforcement operations by Northern District officers with aerial support from the Israel Police Air Wing.

According to police, the helicopter crew spotted a Maverick off-road vehicle traveling north on Route 864 from Rama. The vehicle was filmed crossing a solid line into the oncoming lane on a narrow mountain road, endangering other motorists. After the crew alerted ground units, a police cruiser pursued the vehicle, signaling the driver to stop. He ignored the orders, overtook other vehicles, and tried to escape.

With aerial assistance, officers successfully intercepted the driver. He was transferred for questioning by the Galilee District traffic investigation unit, and authorities stated that legal proceedings will be initiated against him. Police emphasized that the operation is part of ongoing enforcement efforts against severe traffic violations on northern roads.
