Drug-Infused Gummy Bears Seized in Nesher Home Laboratory Raid
Israel Police arrested a 57-year-old Nesher resident for running a home drug lab, seizing thousands of drug-laced gummy bears and cannabis intended for nature parties.
Israel Police arrested a 57-year-old resident of Nesher on suspicion of operating a drug manufacturing laboratory in his home. The suspect allegedly intended to distribute the drugs at nature parties.
The arrest followed a covert investigation conducted by Nesher police over recent months, which transitioned into an overt operation over the weekend with a raid on the suspect's home. The raid, carried out by Nesher station officers and Carmel Yasam fighters, uncovered thousands of gummy bear candies suspected of being infused with dangerous drugs. Additionally, officers seized drug manufacturing equipment, hundreds of grams of substances suspected to be hashish and cannabis, and other materials.
Among the items found were liquid substances, powders, bottles containing suspected hashish oil, and hundreds of distribution bags apparently prepared for dissemination. The suspect was arrested for questioning and his detention has been extended multiple times, most recently until Thursday, October 22, 2026.
Israel Police stated in response: "Israel Police will continue to act decisively against the production and distribution of drugs, with the aim of thwarting criminal activity and maintaining public safety and security."
