New Binyamin Community Mazuque Eretz Begins Construction Amid Sanctions
The new community of Mazuque Eretz in eastern Binyamin begins physical construction, with the first structures installed despite international sanctions from Britain and European nations.
The establishment of the new community of Mazuque Eretz in eastern Binyamin is moving from the planning stage to execution, just a day after the escalation of international measures against the settlement movement and the sanctions imposed by numerous European countries, led by Britain and France.
Construction and Infrastructure Underway
At this time, the first structures are being installed on-site in anticipation of the arrival of the core families in the coming weeks. Mazuque Eretz is located along the Alon Road, in the area between Rimonim and Alon. The buildings currently being deployed are intended for the initial families, while work simultaneously progresses to connect the site to water and electricity infrastructure, pave access roads, and construct the first public building.
Unlike many outposts that began informally in the field and only underwent legalization processes years later, Mazuque Eretz was approved in advance as a new official settlement. The Binyamin Regional Council stated that this is the first time in decades that a completely new settlement has been planned and approved as an official community from its inception along the Alon Road.
Strategic Importance and Response to Sanctions
Its location in eastern Binyamin grants it significant settlement and strategic value. Its establishment is part of a wave of new communities promoted in Judea and Samaria in recent years, as the Binyamin Council works to advance additional localities to translate political leadership decisions into a permanent presence on the ground.
However, the timing of the installation of the structures carries additional significance. While Britain and other nations advance measures against the settlement movement, the Binyamin leadership chose to present the physical establishment of a new community as a direct response to international pressure.
«The answer to sanctions and boycotts is here, on the ground. While Britain tries to punish Jews for living and building in Judea and Samaria, we are installing the first structures of a new community in the land of our ancestors», said Binyamin Regional Council Head and Yesha Council Chairman Israel Gantz.
Gantz concluded: «The British Mandate ended long ago, and boycotts from London will not determine the future of Judea and Samaria. They will try to boycott, and we will continue to build. More families, more homes, more settlements, and Israeli sovereignty».
