Shin Bet to Provide Supervised Security for Yashar Leader Gadi Eisenkot
The Yashar! party announced that Gadi Eisenkot will receive Shin Bet-supervised security starting Sunday, reversing the agency's previous stance.

The "Yashar!" party led by Gadi Eisenkot announced on Saturday that he will receive official Shin Bet security starting Sunday. According to the party statement, the protection will be carried out by a private security company acting under the direct instruction and operation of Unit 730.
Just a month ago, the Shin Bet stated it did not plan to provide direct security details for Eisenkot or The Democrats chairman Yair Golan. The agency previously indicated it would provide intelligence oversight and monitoring, assessing threat levels for all party leaders without deploying full personal details unless concrete threats emerged.
The decision follows a ministerial committee meeting headed by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, which authorized the Shin Bet to determine security packages for party leaders ahead of the 26th Knesset swearing-in. Meanwhile, Yair Golan previously petitioned the High Court of Justice over the matter, though justices dismissed his arguments.
