Israeli Double Lotto Ticket Claims 20 Million NIS in Latest Drawing
A single Double Lotto ticket won 20 million NIS in Israel, accompanied by another 6 million NIS win, bringing the evening's total payouts to over 30 million NIS amid an ongoing rare winning streak.

Israel's national lottery continues to mint new millionaires as a single Double Lotto ticket claimed a 20 million NIS jackpot in the latest Saturday night drawing, hosted by Yarden Gerbi. Another single ticket won 6 million NIS in the Double Lotto secondary tier, bringing the total prize pool distributed in a single evening to 30,755,488 NIS.
Winning Numbers and Prize Breakdown
The winning numbers drawn were 2, 27, 28, 32, 35, and 36, with 3 as the additional strong number. The standard first-place prize stood at 10 million NIS, which doubled to 20 million NIS for the winning ticket holder. Meanwhile, the second-place prize of 3 million NIS doubled to 6 million NIS for the secondary winner. Both fortunate participants had opted for the Double Lotto format.
A Rare Winning Streak
This latest windfall adds to an unusual streak of major lottery wins in recent months despite extremely low mathematical odds. In early October, after ten consecutive drawings without a grand prize winner, a single Double Lotto participant successfully guessed all six numbers and the strong number to claim 64 million NIS. Additional grand prizes were distributed in September and August, reaching up to 40 million NIS.
Upcoming Draws and Historical Records
According to lottery data, the next drawing is scheduled for the upcoming Tuesday, with the first-place prize starting at 5 million NIS and reaching up to 10 million NIS for Double Lotto participants. The all-time Israeli lottery record remains at 80 million NIS, won in a single drawing in March 2022 by a man in his thirties from central Israel. Meanwhile, international lotteries continue to offer astronomical sums, highlighted by a recent Powerball drawing in New Jersey where a single ticket holder won an estimated 847 million USD in annuity payments or 363.1 million USD in cash before taxes.
