An indictment is set to be filed today against 19-year-old Yigal Buskila from Jerusalem, following a prosecutor's statement submitted last Wednesday. Buskila is suspected of kidnapping 10-year-old Yali Sofer from Petah Tikva about two and a half weeks ago and holding him against his will in a bomb shelter in Bnei Brak.

The State Attorney's Office debated the specific charges and whether to file the indictment in the District Court or the Magistrates' Court. Ultimately, it was decided that the case will be handled in the Magistrates' Court, meaning the indictment will feature lesser offenses, potentially omitting kidnapping in favor of other charges such as false imprisonment for forcibly keeping Yali in the shelter.

Additionally, Buskila may face charges regarding the stalking and harassment of two minor girls from Hadera and a minor boy from Arad. These complaints were filed after the publicity surrounding Yali's case prompted the minors to identify Buskila as their harasser.

According to the investigation, Buskila approached a playground in Petah Tikva and left with Yali, taking him to Bnei Brak. Following an intense search, the two were spotted wandering the streets of Bnei Brak at night. Yali was safely returned to his family, and Buskila was arrested.
