Israeli security forces arrested four residents of Judea and Samaria overnight between Wednesday and Thursday on suspicion of involvement in a series of agricultural equipment thefts and burglaries in the Lachish region. The arrests were carried out as part of an operation by the YAMAR Southern Border Police detectives, in cooperation with Border Police fighters and Yoav volunteers, following a nocturnal ambush and a field pursuit.

The operation took place under the framework of the "Night Club" investigation, conducted by the YAMAR Southern Border Police against a cell suspected of committing property offenses against local farmers. Late Wednesday evening, intelligence information indicated that members of the cell had entered Israeli territory to carry out further thefts. Detectives promptly deployed across the area to intercept the suspects and thwart their plans.

During extensive sweeps, detectives spotted four suspects riding two agricultural vehicles without headlights. Following a targeted search, security forces located one of the abandoned vehicles in the terrain. Later in the night, the forces observed four suspects returning to the location and attempting to start the machinery.

Detectives, alongside Border Police fighters and Yoav volunteers, apprehended two suspects at the scene. The two remaining individuals attempted to flee on foot but were captured following a brief pursuit through the terrain. According to police, all four suspects are known to law enforcement and are linked to multiple property crimes across the Lachish district. Following the operation, they were transferred to YAMAR Southern offices for further questioning.
