The Israel Defense Forces and the Shin Bet security agency announced on Friday that they struck two Hamas weapons depots in the Gaza Strip overnight. The strikes targeted facilities in Al-Bureij in the central Strip and Gaza City in the north, destroying dozens of rockets, explosive devices, RPG launchers, and firearms.

According to the military, the targeted sites contained a wide array of weaponry intended for attacks against ground troops and military vehicles. The destroyed arsenal included Kalashnikov rifles, grenades, and ammunition stockpiles. Security officials emphasized that the operation aims to dismantle terrorist infrastructure and prevent the group from rebuilding its military capabilities in the enclave.

In recent days, security forces have intensified operations across the Gaza Strip. Earlier in the week, strikes eliminated two senior Hamas operatives involved in advancing terrorist plots against troops and Israeli citizens. Additional operations targeted key financial operatives responsible for transferring millions of dollars from Iran and Turkey to fund Hamas military activities.
