Shin Bet Issued Ultimatum Calls to Hamas Operatives Before Strikes
Israeli security officers issued ultimatums to Hamas operatives in Gaza via phone calls before targeted strikes, aiming to prevent civilian casualties.

Israeli security officers recently called several Hamas operatives in the Gaza Strip to issue a final ultimatum before targeting them, according to regional media reports. Operatives were instructed to distance themselves from their families to ensure targeted strikes or risk the deaths of their relatives.
At least five such incidents occurred in recent months. The latest case took place on Wednesday in Khan Yunis, where Muhammad Aliian Bayouk received a call from a Shin Bet officer presenting him with the ultimatum. Bayouk moved to the roof of a building inside a displacement shelter, where he was killed by a precision drone strike. His family confirmed the details, noting a relative was seriously wounded attempting to stop him.
The IDF and Shin Bet confirmed the operation in a joint statement, stating Bayouk, a member of Hamas's Nukhba force, was eliminated in Khan Yunis. Additional strikes in Rafah eliminated other operatives, including commander Hamam Jaber al-Sayed Abu Labda, Mahmoud Abu Naama, and Muhammad Hamad Shiqi Sultan.
Security officials emphasized that the targeted individuals promoted terror plots against Israeli forces and civilians while violating ceasefire understandings. Southern Command forces remain deployed in the area to remove ongoing threats.
