IDF Demolishes Homes of Terrorists Behind Deadly Hebron Shooting
IDF forces demolished the homes of two terrorists in Hebron responsible for last week's fatal shooting at the Yehuda Junction that killed two soldiers. The rapid demolition follows an ongoing brigade-level operation.

IDF engineering forces from the Yahalom unit, operating under the command of the Yehuda Brigade and the 98th Division, demolished the homes of two terrorists in Hebron on Friday. The operation targeted the perpetrators of last week's shooting attack at the Yehuda Junction, which resulted in the deaths of Staff Sergeant Ron Yonathan Roitman and Sergeant Yuval Shay Soylem, alongside three other soldiers sustaining light injuries.
The two terrorists were killed following an exchange of fire with security forces shortly after the attack. The demolitions were carried out exactly one week after the incident, marking an unprecedented timeframe for the destruction of terrorists' homes. Additionally, IDF troops destroyed three monuments glorifying terrorists and inciting terror in the area.
Since the attack, the IDF has been conducting a brigade-level operation in Hebron, focusing on the neighborhood of the Al-Ja'abari clan, to which the terrorists belonged. Military officials noted that operatives concealed numerous weapons outside the neighborhood compounds before the operation commenced, complicating current searches. The operation continues under the directives of the political echelon.
The attack occurred on October 23, 2026, near the Yehuda Junction. The assailants, both 27-year-old married men from Hebron with two children each, were linked to a local Hamas terror cell. Security assessments indicate they were en route to execute a larger-scale attack in a nearby community when they were intercepted and killed.
