Israel Counters Hamas Winter Campaign as IDF Details Gaza Aid Influx
Israel counters a Hamas winter propaganda campaign by detailing the entry of 91,000 tents and 8,200 aid trucks into Gaza, as IDF leadership reviews security strategies.

Israel is countering a new propaganda campaign by Hamas regarding winter living conditions in the Gaza Strip, pointing to the substantial influx of humanitarian supplies over recent weeks and months. According to security officials, 91,000 tents and 8,200 trucks carrying winter gear—including blankets, tarpaulins, coats, and warm clothing—have been delivered to the enclave.
Defense sources state that Hamas is attempting to orchestrate an international winter campaign to generate distressing imagery of harsh living conditions and flooded encampments. Officials also report that Hamas levies taxes on civilians for the tents brought into the Strip, aiming to pressure Israel into advancing reconstruction efforts before the organization is disarmed. This marks the third winter of the conflict, and security authorities emphasize that proactive measures are in place to neutralize the narrative.
In response to these developments, Chief of the General Staff Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir visited the Southern Command alongside senior officers, including Southern Command chief Maj. Gen. Yaniv Asor. The military leadership reviewed the ongoing security efforts and strategies designed to counter the psychological campaign launched by Hamas in the region.
