Israeli Family Rescued From Area A in Bethlehem After Mistaken Entry
Israeli security forces rescued a Jerusalem family and their toddler from Bethlehem in Area A after a mistaken entry. Following the operation, the parents were questioned by police.

An emergency call to the police hotline on Thursday evening triggered a joint security operation to rescue an Israeli family that entered Area A in the West Bank. A 41-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman from Jerusalem, accompanied by their one-year-old toddler, were located near a hotel in Bethlehem.
The incident began at approximately 20:25 when the father contacted the police emergency dispatch, reporting that he had mistakenly entered Area A. Security forces immediately initiated tracking and rescue efforts through coordination between the Judea and Samaria police district, the Joint Coordination and Liaison Administration, IDF liaison units, and the Palestinian police.
Palestinian police officers located the family near a Bethlehem hotel. Following coordination between the security agencies, the three were safely transferred to Israeli forces at the Etzion police station. Despite their safe return, the parents were subjected to a police interrogation on suspicion of entering a restricted zone in violation of military orders.
Following the questioning, the couple was released under restrictive conditions. Authorities reiterated warnings to Israeli citizens regarding the severe security risks and legal prohibitions associated with entering Palestinian-controlled territories in the West Bank.
