Vehicles Torched and Clashes Reported in West Bank Village of Abu Falah

Clashes and vehicle arson were reported early Sunday in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, east of Ramallah. According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, cars were torched and fireworks were thrown during the unrest.
Police confirmed that a report was received regarding suspected vehicle arson in the village and that an investigation has been launched by the Judea and Samaria District. Mustafa Za'atar, the owner of the torched vehicles, recounted that prior to the arson, clashes had erupted between local youths and settlers in the nearby mountainous area.
Witness Accounts and Rising Tensions
According to Za'atar, dozens of settlers arrived, some from different directions, and began setting fire to the vehicles. "They put flammable materials inside the cars. They didn't even stay for ten minutes. The youths arrived, charged at them, and they fled," he said.
Another resident, Samir Shouman, told Ynet that villagers have been preparing for potential attacks recently. He claimed there are about four outposts surrounding the village and that agricultural property has been damaged, noting that 57 of his own olive trees were cut down.
"The youths are awake all the time, because at any moment we expect them to arrive at the village," Shouman said.
Ongoing Investigation
Police stated that forensic investigators entered the scene accompanied by IDF forces to collect evidence and take testimonies. The investigation is ongoing, and no arrests have been reported thus far.
This incident follows previous riots between Wednesday and Thursday in the village of Atara, near Ramallah, where vehicles were torched and threatening graffiti was sprayed on walls.
