Viewers of i24News were stunned when the former pilots' union chairman, who recently joined Yisrael Beiteinu, paused his interview mid-stream to receive instructions from his party.

Midan Bar, who served as chairman of the Pilots Association for seven years, announced on Monday that he is joining the Yisrael Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Lieberman. Bar, an El Al captain and reserve lieutenant colonel, will conclude his role at the association shortly.
