Former Pilots Association chairman joins Yisrael Beiteinu

Midan Bar, who has served as chairman of the Pilots Association for the past seven years, announced on Monday that he is joining the Yisrael Beiteinu party led by Avigdor Lieberman. Bar, a captain at El Al and a lieutenant colonel in the reserves, is expected to conclude his role at the association in the coming days.

During his military service, he was a decorated helicopter pilot and carried out numerous operational flights until reaching the maximum permitted age. Today, he continues his reserve service as an active flight instructor at the flight school. In addition, he is a lawyer by profession, holds a degree in political science, and serves as a volunteer police officer in the traffic police. Bar is a resident of Moshav Havatzelet HaSharon.

Bar drew a comparison between his aviation experience and the needs of the country, stating:

"Just like in the aviation world, the State of Israel today needs an experienced captain who knows how to make decisions in moments of crisis and lead safely even in the most complex conditions."

Regarding the party chairman's suitability for the role of prime minister, he noted:

"Avigdor Lieberman is the most suitable to lead the next government. He is a strong leader with experience and a clear vision. Over the years, he has proven in his senior positions that he knows how to stand by his principles and place the good of the country above any other consideration."

Bar detailed the motives for his decision to enter political life: "I am joining Yisrael Beiteinu out of the belief that this is the way to replace the government, restore security and governance to Israel, strengthen the economy, and ensure a better future for all the citizens and children of Israel."
