The climate crisis has led to more frequent heat waves worldwide. In response, the market is filling with innovative gadgets, ranging from air-conditioned clothing and portable fans to specialized cooling cabins.

Extreme heat and drought are triggering massive wildfires across Europe. The continent is grappling with record-breaking temperatures that are threatening infrastructure and public safety.

June and July were the hottest months ever recorded in Western Europe. Global sea surface temperatures reached a record high, while heat waves exacerbated drought and fire risks across the continent.

The morning will be partly cloudy, followed by fair weather. Temperatures will rise, particularly in mountainous and inland areas, exceeding seasonal averages. Further warming is expected tomorrow.

The heat wave affecting Israel since Thursday reaches its peak today (Sunday) and is expected to subside in two days. According to the head of the meteorological service, additional heat waves are possible later in August, and the interaction between the warm Mediterranean Sea and autumn cooling may lead to extreme weather events later this year.

Despite the heavy heat, tens of thousands visited nature reserves. The peak of the wave arrives tomorrow, with initial relief expected on Monday.

Firefighters are battling massive blazes in France amidst a 40-degree heat wave; while 60,000 evacuees have been allowed home, authorities warn the danger persists. In Spain, the Castellon fire remains out of control, and a new blaze has erupted in Zamora. Two firefighters have perished in Crete, and Turkey is managing 90 active fires, with evacuations underway in Antalya.

Deadly heat in Europe has triggered massive forest fires. Over 200,000 people have been evacuated from the suburbs of Bordeaux in France and the area surrounding Madrid in Spain.
