Rybakina looking for revenge, Zverev on the way to another thriller at the US Open?

The third round of the US Open concludes Saturday with an American trio at Arthur Ashe Stadium: Taylor Fritz, Coco Gauff, and Iva Jovic will compete for a spot in the round of 16. Sascha Zverev takes the court early in the morning.

Men

Sascha Zverev, as the top seed, will be the last to play in the third round — the stage where he was eliminated last year. Spain's Cristina Bucsa (40) will try to halt the American's momentum, having lost their only previous meeting three and a half years ago. Gauff won the home tournament in 2023 but has exited in the round of 16 for the past two years.

Mirra Andreeva (5), the Roland Garros champion, aims to move past the third round after last year's exit. She faces Nikola Bartunkova (34), who at 20 is seeking her first-ever Grand Slam round of 16 appearance. Can she surprise the 19-year-old Russian in their first meeting?
