Head Injuries

According to a CNN investigation, the two suffered from severe brain hemorrhages, injuries reminiscent of severe trauma resulting from accidents or violent events.

Headers seem to us an inseparable part of a football game, but more and more cities and countries are deciding that, at least for young ages, it is not legitimate.

The Italian football club Como, playing in the first division, has announced a complete ban on heading the ball in its youth academy for younger age groups to prevent brain injuries. The initiative is led by former player Raphaël Varane.
