11-year-old Bo Bowers and his father Michael discovered a fossilized megalodon tooth while exploring a beach in New Jersey. After the father found the object in a narrow crevice but couldn't reach it, his son successfully retrieved the 10-centimeter tooth.

A skull bone found in New Mexico has now led to the identification of a new type of dinosaur that lived tens of millions of years ago. For years, the fossil went through several classifications, until a re-examination revealed that it belongs to a previously unidentified species.
