After months of storms that included involvement in smuggling to Gaza, allegations of sexual harassment, and the lack of a permanent commander, the IDF is trying to set the battalion on a new path. 60 young men from the community completed a dedicated preparatory program designed to bridge gaps and strengthen readiness for enlistment.

The Channel 12 news anchor broke down in front of the cameras while covering the IDF enlistment, and shared the personal and family moments that have overwhelmed him since the events of October 7.

A particularly moving moment occurred on Thursday during the program "Israel This Morning," when Channel 14 presenter Tal Meir recognized her nephew, Eitan, live on air as he arrived at the induction center ahead of his enlistment in the Paratroopers Brigade. According to him, the war pushed him to reach "as combat-oriented as possible and as high as possible."

Yaakov Farber, founder of a program for integrating Haredim into the IDF, passed away at 32. Rabbi Yonatan Ries eulogizes his brother-in-law and partner, highlighting his character against the backdrop of scandalous reactions from extremist elements: "The recruiter croaked."
