Yosef Haddad to face lawsuit: Left-wing activist demands 39,900 shekels
Following his placement on Ofer Winter's new party list, Yosef Haddad is being sued for copyright infringement. Left-wing activist Itamar Greenberg is demanding 39,900 shekels in court.
In one of his Israeli advocacy videos, 'Amcha Yisrael' party candidate Yosef Haddad exposed how the leader of a Gaza flotilla played the victim by pretending to be a handcuffed individual being deported from Israel. However, the footage presented by Haddad clearly shows the radical left-wing activist Tiago Avila with his hands free.
It was later revealed that the photographer behind the footage is left-wing activist Itamar Greenberg, a refusenik and former ultra-Orthodox Jew. Greenberg is now demanding that his copyrights be respected and has filed a lawsuit against Yosef Haddad for 39,900 shekels.
"Congratulations to Yosef Haddad on entering politics. I understand he wants to be the Minister of Ethnic Cleansing Advocacy," said Greenberg. "I am honored to invite him to explain in court why he violates copyright and disregards the law." Greenberg added: "I have just filed a lawsuit against Haddad for 39,900 shekels."
As recalled, Haddad was placed second on Ofer Winter's new party list, 'Amcha Yisrael', and has declared his aspiration to become the first Arab to serve in the Security Cabinet. "We will bring to the decision-making table the voice of a proud Israeli Arab who understands the enemy, thinks like them, and lives the regional mentality," he said. According to Haddad, alongside Ofer Winter, whom he introduced as the future Minister of Defense, he intends to work toward changing the system from within.
