Netanyahu Campaign Video Sparks Controversy as Tavor Academy Students Vote Opposition
A video of pre-military students dancing with Benjamin Netanyahu and Amir Ohana sparked controversy after being used in Likud's campaign, while a mock vote at their academy showed strong support for opposition parties.

A video showing pre-military academy students dancing and singing around Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Knesset Speaker Amir Ohana has been incorporated into Likud's election campaign. The footage was filmed during a Hoshana Raba study night at the Knesset sukkah, attended by IDF wounded, the heads of Shin Bet and Mossad, and students from the Tavor pre-military academy.
Academy representatives stated that the students attended the event believing it was state-sponsored rather than a political campaign shoot. Opposition leader Yair Lapid was also invited via a late WhatsApp message from Ohana and declined, assuming it was a formal engagement. Meanwhile, mock election results from the Tavor academy--previously headed by Diaspora Affairs Minister Amichai Chikli--revealed that over 60 percent of the students voted for the parties led by Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Lieberman, or Yair Golan.
