Yaakov Buzaglo reveals his party: 'This is not a split-second decision'
After causing a stir by revealing that he is a 'proud leftist' and supporting the 'Democrats' party, Buzaglo explains the reasoning behind his decision and his stance for the upcoming elections.
Yaakov Buzaglo continues to express himself politically as the 2026 elections approach. On Thursday, he unequivocally revealed his choice for the Knesset: "I am a proud leftist, the elections are around the corner, and the Democrats are my choice."
Buzaglo continued in a post on Facebook: "This is not a split-second decision, and it is not a gimmick. This is a way of life. Quite a few people ask me: 'How much are they paying you?' So it is important for me to say in the clearest way — no one is paying me."
Buzaglo explained: "I support the Democrats because I believe in the values they represent. In my eyes, this is a party that puts values, action, responsibility, and service to the public at the center, not the distribution of jobs and the politics of division."
As recalled, after he expressed his initial support for the party, Buzaglo faced criticism from screenwriter Meni Asayag: "It is a great shame to support a racist party that uses descendants of Moroccan immigrants, disguised and apostates, as a fig leaf, like Lazimi and like you."
Buzaglo added: "It is a great shame to support a party headed by the 'man of processes' and hater of settlers who caused and encouraged criminal insubordination, and marketed to the world the blood libel that Israel kills babies as a hobby."
