Yaakov Buzaglo closes the story: "I am a proud leftist. It is legitimate"

Yaakov and Hani Buzaglo recently returned to Israel after a period during which they relocated their residence to Cyprus. During this time, Buzaglo continued to keep in touch with what was happening in Israel, while frequently sharing his opinions and experiences with his followers on social media.

In one of his recent posts, Buzaglo revealed that he defines himself as a leftist and that he intends to vote for the Democrats party led by Yair Golan. Since then, he has frequently addressed both the party and issues related to it.

Now, Buzaglo has addressed the political storm between Yair Golan and Einav Zangauker, the mother of hostage Matan Zangauker, who has become one of the figures identified with the struggle for the families of the hostages.

The background to the storm is Zangauker's claim that Golan promised her a reserved spot on the Democrats' list, but later backtracked and decided to respect the results of the primaries without using reserved spots. Golan expressed regret for hurting Zangauker and clarified that there would be no reserved spots on the list.

Buzaglo, a former soccer player and star of "The Buzaglos," wrote in a post:

"I am a proud leftist, I support the Democrats. Let's close the Einav Zangauker story. I understand Einav, who received a promise that she claims was not kept, and I understand Yair Golan no less. There were primaries in the Democrats, and the voters had their say. About 113,000 voters chose the team they want to see."

Buzaglo continued and compared Golan's conduct to a soccer coach who is forced to change the lineup he planned: "Yair Golan, like a soccer coach who wanted to start with a certain player, arrived on game day and made a different decision. This is part of political life, and it is legitimate."

According to him, the fact that Golan took responsibility is significant: "What is important in my eyes is that he took responsibility. This is exactly what we expect from a leader, not to run away, not to blame others, but to look people in the eyes, apologize, and move forward."

Buzaglo also addressed Zangauker and emphasized his appreciation for her activity on behalf of the hostages: "Einav deserves respect and appreciation for what she did and for the way she fought for the hostages. Yair must continue to lead the party and the team that was chosen democratically."

In conclusion, Buzaglo called to put the affair behind and focus on the road ahead: "From my point of view, the apology was made, the responsibility was taken, the primaries are behind us, and now it is time to stop dealing with what was and look forward. We have a much bigger goal."
