Upwind Raises $300 Million at a $3.8 Billion Valuation
Cybersecurity firm Upwind Security has raised approximately $300 million, bringing its valuation to about $3.8 billion. The company has more than doubled its value in just a few months.

The cyber company Upwind Security (Upwind) has raised approximately $300 million, which will give the company a valuation of about $3.8 billion, according to Bloomberg. The fundraising reflects an unprecedented surge for the company, which only at the beginning of the year completed a funding round (Series B) of $250 million at a valuation of about $1.5 billion. In just a few months, Upwind has more than doubled its value.
The funding rounds are led by Bessemer Venture Partners and TCV. Alongside them, prominent funds are participating in the financing, including Craft Ventures, Salesforce Ventures, Greylock, Cyberstarts of Gili Raanan, Leaders Fund, and Alta Park Capital. Among others, the company's investors also include the Penny Jar Capital fund, owned by NBA star Steph Curry.
The company was founded in 2022 by Amiram Shachar (who serves as CEO), together with his partners from the Spot.io solution, which was previously sold to storage giant NetApp for $450 million. Upwind's technology focuses on analyzing threats in real-time within the cloud environment instead of relying on static retrospective scans, which allows giant companies to dramatically reduce the amount of false alerts in their systems. The new funding is intended for the rapid expansion of global sales and development operations, and for establishing the company's position as one of the leading security players in the AI era.
