High Lander Secures $30M Series A Funding for Drone Airspace Software
Israeli startup High Lander secures a $30 million Series A funding round, including a $16 million extension backed by the UAE's EDGE Group, to scale its low-altitude drone management software and expand into the US market.

The low-altitude airspace management software startup High Lander has announced the completion of a Series A funding round totaling $30 million, following a $16 million extension. The round was led by international strategic and financial investors, including the UAE-based defense technology conglomerate EDGE Group, along with Protego, STEP, and Kinetica.
Advanced Platforms for Autonomous Airspaces
High Lander develops end-to-end software infrastructure designed to manage autonomous aerial operations. Its core technology relies on two primary platforms: Vega, built for drone traffic management in low-altitude airspaces, and Orion, which enables the autonomous operation of diverse drone fleets. Building on these capabilities, the company has introduced Andromeda, a platform tailored for national security and defense applications that generates a unified operational picture in low-level airspace.
Global Expansion and US Operations
Alongside the funding announcement, High Lander is establishing a major operational center in the United States to spearhead its North American expansion. The new facility will house advanced control rooms, testing laboratories, and demonstration centers designed to integrate partner technologies and support ongoing US projects.
"We have built a technological infrastructure that allows countries and organizations to manage a world where autonomous systems are becoming an integral part of the airspace," said Alon Abelson, founder and CEO of High Lander.
Strategic Backing
Investor Lital Leshem, founding partner at Protego, emphasized the growing market demand for the technology. "As the use of drones expands, so does the need to produce a unified air picture, identify threats, and coordinate responses in real time. High Lander's technology addresses these exact challenges," she stated.
