Netanyahu's associate takes a jab: "Half of the Likud ministers will watch the Knesset on Channel 99"
An associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has launched a scathing critique of Likud MKs and ministers, claiming that many of them risk being left out of the next parliamentary list. He argued that due to their fear of speaking out and internal turmoil, a significant portion of the current faction will not return to the Knesset.
An associate of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took a jab today (Sunday) at Likud Knesset members and ministers, claiming that half of them will soon be watching the Knesset only on television.
"They will go home. Out of 45, including the 'Norwegian' ones, 18 will remain plus eight reserved spots. According to polls, Likud will bring in 25 mandates—where will everyone else be?" he attacked.
The associate explained that because they were afraid to express themselves openly, they will not be included in the next list: "They had the organizing committee on a silver platter, but they were afraid to speak out, and in practice, about half of the Knesset members will be off the list."
A senior Likud official pointed an accusing finger at the source of the turmoil within the party, blaming Minister Haim Katz and MK David Bitan: "Because of Haim Katz and Bitan, many Knesset members will be at home. They have plunged Likud into serious turmoil, and Netanyahu will bring new people onto the list."
"They fought over the top spots, and many of the Knesset members and ministers will find themselves watching Channel 99," he quipped.
