Prince Turki al-Faisal of Saudi Arabia stated in an interview with Arab News that a U.S. withdrawal from the Middle East will not lead to a regional security arrangement with Iran. He also accused Israel of seeking to become a dominant regional power through military conquests.

The former Saudi intelligence chief explained that there are no indications a U.S. withdrawal would curb Iran's regional ambitions. He noted that Tehran continues to claim a legitimate right to intervene in countries such as Lebanon, Iraq, and Yemen by supporting various proxy militias.

Al-Faisal emphasized that Iran must abandon its aspirations of regional hegemony, adding that the same requirement applies to Israel. He claimed that Israel grows out of military occupation and harbors territorial ambitions that must be abandoned.
