US Expected to Resume Strikes on Iran as Middle East Tensions Surge
US President Donald Trump is reportedly set to order renewed strikes against Iran as Washington and Tehran navigate a mix of military preparations and diplomatic maneuvers.

US President Donald Trump is expected to order the resumption of strikes against Iran as early as Monday, according to media reports on Friday. Concurrently, the Israel Defense Forces remain on high alert and are preparing for potential military actions.
A senior IDF officer told local media that coordinating actions with Washington is crucial. "If we are going to mow the lawn in Iran, it is better to do it together with the Americans," the officer stated. "We are not holding our breath, but we maintain complete readiness and alertness."
Earlier, President Trump posted a statement on social media emphasizing his past actions regarding Iran's nuclear ambitions. "Israel, and indeed the entire Middle East, would not exist today if I had not stopped Iran from getting nuclear weapons," Trump wrote. Meanwhile, Tehran is bracing for renewed US strikes, with a senior Iranian official telling the British press that Iran and Russia are negotiating the supply of S-400 air defense systems following a message sent to Moscow by Mojtaba Khamenei.
In addition, an official from the Iranian Ministry of Health reported that authorities are distributing iodine tablets and issuing emergency guidelines to residents living near nuclear facilities. These developments unfold amid ongoing diplomatic maneuvers, including a new Iranian proposal regarding the nuclear program submitted to Washington via Qatar, while significant disagreements persist between the parties.
