Border Police Arrests Smuggler Disguised as Ultra-Orthodox Jew

Border Police officers arrested a Palestinian suspect who disguised himself as an ultra-Orthodox Jew at the Al-Za'ayem checkpoint near Jerusalem while attempting to smuggle six undocumented workers into Israel.

The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when officers noticed a commercial vehicle driven by a suspicious individual. Upon inspection, the forces discovered six undocumented Palestinians hiding inside the vehicle without entry permits.

Officers were astonished to find that the driver had glued a fake beard and sidelocks, and wore ritual fringes, to impersonate an ultra-Orthodox Jew and bypass security. Police revealed that the vehicle had been previously taken off the road and fitted with forged license plates.

All seven suspects, including the disguised driver, were transferred for questioning to the Border Police investigations unit in the Jerusalem envelope. The vehicle was towed as the investigation continues.
