The Israel Defense Forces announced the completion of "Shahar Katom" (Orange Dawn), the largest brigade-level exercise conducted by the IDF Home Front Command's Rescue Brigade in five years. The comprehensive drill spanned multiple locations across the country, aiming to test and elevate operational readiness for multi-front emergency scenarios.

According to the military, regular and reserve rescue forces simulated complex civilian emergency scenarios, including structural collapse extraction and multi-arena response coordination alongside emergency organizations. Military officials noted that the simulated disaster sites replicated some of the most complex destruction zones encountered during recent military engagements, specifically incorporating scenarios modeled after incidents in Bat Yam, Beersheba, and Haifa.

In a parallel geopolitical development, diplomatic sources told the UAE-based news outlet Erem News that Russia recently warned senior Iranian officials of a potential joint U.S. and Israeli military strike targeting remaining uranium enrichment and storage facilities in Iran, notably the Fordow nuclear site. According to the reports, Moscow urged Tehran to rapidly enter negotiations with Washington to reach an interim understanding halting the nuclear dispute, suggesting discussions focus on enrichment levels and stockpile futures.

Furthermore, diplomatic intermediaries involved in Doha talks conveyed assessments to Iranian officials that serious nuclear negotiations could deter U.S. President Donald Trump from pursuing military action, provided he can present a successful diplomatic outcome. Meanwhile, diplomatic sources indicate that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is increasing pressure on the U.S. administration to target Iranian nuclear infrastructure, viewing current conditions as a strategic window to neutralize Tehran's advancing nuclear and missile capabilities.
