Storm in Likud: Suspicions of serious irregularities in the vote count in the primaries

Our correspondent Moti Kastel reported on Sunday: increasing evidence and concerns are emerging regarding irregularities during the vote count in the Likud primaries. Several MKs arrived at Metzudat Ze'ev to review the protocols, where they discovered numerous discrepancies.

A ballot box that was "discovered" in Kisra-Sumei changed the balance of power in the list. When the gap between candidates is only tens or hundreds of votes, these figures become highly significant. According to the protocol, at that same ballot box in Kisra-Sumei, voters were allowed to cast ballots using ID cards without photos, and there is no match between the tally sheet and the summary sheet.

Meanwhile, MK Atiya, who received 0 votes on the tally sheet, was credited with 127 votes on the summary sheet. Another MK, who received 3 votes on the summary sheet, discovered he had received 94 votes on the tally sheet. Questions have also arisen regarding the connection between the 'Reshef Bitachon' company, which managed the voting, and the Likud leadership and Haim Katz; we will elaborate on this in the next chapter.

For example, there is a strange case involving an exceptional approval granted to 100 people to vote with double envelopes in Ashdod and Jerusalem. It was claimed that former Likud CEO Tzurie Siso had forgotten to update their registration, but the facts contradict these statements. The Likud activist to whom Siso claimed he had transferred the forms stated in an affidavit that a completely different list of names had been provided. In practice, out of the 100, 8 voted in Ashdod and 40 in Jerusalem. A hearing is scheduled to take place in the party court on the matter tomorrow.
