At 9:32 AM, the Magen David Adom (MDA) Dan region dispatch center received an emergency call reporting individuals injured by gunfire on the major thoroughfare. Paramedics arriving at the scene found two men in their sixties unconscious, unresponsive, and suffering from penetrating gunshot wounds.

Meir Grossman, an emergency medical technician with the MDA motorcycle unit, described the initial response:

«We arrived at the scene very quickly and found two men lying on the street unconscious, without pulse and without breathing, bearing penetrating injuries. Following medical evaluations, we were forced to pronounce them dead at the scene.»
