Second Suspect Arrested Over Car Bombing Targeting Likud Chairman
Israeli police arrested a Kiryat Ono resident in his 30s over a car bombing targeting the Likud chairman in Or Yehuda last month, with no injuries reported.

Police in the Dan region have arrested a resident of Kiryat Ono in his 30s on suspicion of involvement in planting an explosive device in the vehicle of the Likud chairman in Or Yehuda last month. The suspect was taken into police custody for questioning and is scheduled to appear at the Tel Aviv Magistrates' Court for a remand extension hearing.
The incident occurred on September 18, when police received a report of a vehicle explosion in Or Yehuda. Officers from the Messubim station rushed to the scene and located the car, which sustained damage from the blast. No injuries were reported in the incident.
Following the explosion, an investigation was launched, with forensic evidence and findings collected from the scene. The case was subsequently transferred to the Dan region's anti-crime unit. About a week ago, a first suspect—a 20-year-old resident of Jerusalem—was arrested in connection with the affair and had his detention extended by the court.
Investigators stated that the latest arrest followed significant progress in the ongoing probe. Police are continuing to examine the circumstances of the incident and the specific roles played by the suspects in planting the explosive device.
