From Miss Germany to the Boxing Ring: Tatiana Genrich's New Career
Tatiana Genrich, former Miss Germany 2022, is transitioning from the fashion runway to the professional boxing ring for her debut in Magdeburg.

Tatiana Genrich, who won the title of Miss Germany in 2022, is embarking on a remarkable career change: the 33-year-old model will make her professional boxing debut next month, years after previously serving as a regional amateur boxing champion.
Genrich, who lives in Magdeburg, began boxing in her childhood. According to her, she first entered the gym to learn self-defense after suffering from bullying at school. Between 2007 and 2009, she even won the Saxony-Anhalt flyweight championship in the amateur division.
"I was often bullied at school and wanted to find a way to defend myself. That's how it all started," she recalled.
Later, Genrich stepped away from the ring to focus on her modeling career and beauty pageants. Over the years, she won a string of titles, including Miss Saxony-Anhalt, Miss Germany in 2022, and Miss Intercontinental Europe in 2023, and even founded a modeling school and agency.
Return to the Ring
Her connection to boxing was rekindled through promoter Ulf Steinforth. Genrich shared that she had already been working at his events through sponsorships for ring girls, and then received an offer from him to return to serious training.
"Since I sponsor the ring girls at his boxing events, he approached me one day and asked if I would like to return to the ring," she said. "In the end I agreed, and now I am about to make my professional debut."
Her first fight is scheduled to take place on November 14 at an SES Boxing event in Magdeburg, while the identity of her opponent has not yet been published.
High Ambitions
Genrich will be trained by Dirk Dzemski, who was himself a professional boxer and later coached Robert Stieglitz, the former super-middleweight world champion. Officials from SES Boxing have already set a high bar for her and compared her potential to that of Regina Halmich, one of the most successful German female boxers of all time.
"Tatiana can follow in the footsteps of Regina Halmich," the promoter stated. "She has all the necessary qualities, an incredible presence and is particularly ambitious."
Genrich herself emphasizes that her goal is not limited to a one-time sports experiment. "I want to be a role model for young women and show that you can succeed in both career and sports," she said.
