Tali Gottlieb in a sharp attack against Netanyahu: "He made an effort to thwart and weaken me"
Despite the victory in the primaries and securing a realistic spot, the Knesset member does not spare criticism, accusing the Prime Minister's advisors of deliberate sabotage attempts while issuing a dramatic political warning for the future.
Knesset member Tali Gottlieb is celebrating this morning (Tuesday) the securing of her realistic spot on the Likud list for the Knesset, as about 80% of the ballots in the party's primaries have been counted. However, alongside the victory, Gottlieb chose to launch a sharp and direct attack against the close circle of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, claiming that officials in the office acted intentionally to weaken her during the voting.
In a combative tweet she published on the social network X, Gottlieb thanked the Likud members and oscillated between pride in the support she received from the field and harsh accusations against the mechanism of deals and the Prime Minister's advisors.
"Even if the PM's circle really tried to thwart and weaken me, even if all the votes united in deals received an instruction not to mark me, and even if I am the only one to whom the PM did not send a message to strengthen her, the right-wing Likud voters fought for me with tremendous force. There are no loyalists like you and there are no smart and wise people like you! Thank God I am in a realistic spot in Likud. And if the advisors..."
Alongside the celebration of the position on the list, the Knesset member sent a clear political warning regarding the possibility of future political maneuvers by the Prime Minister's office, and clarified that she would not hesitate to speak out against approaches to solutions of a unity government: "If the PM's advisors look towards the center, towards Eisenkot, the left, unity, and other such statesmanlike words, I will not be silent, even if they impose an interview ban on me."
She concluded her remarks with a firm ideological statement: "Long live the Hebrew state with a majority of Hebrew residents on both banks of the Jordan, east and west."
This statement by Gottlieb clarifies that although she managed to maintain her power and secure her place in the next Knesset thanks to the support of Likud members, the complex tension between her and the party leadership and Netanyahu's circle is expected to continue and rage even on the day after the primaries.
