Ben Shelton Beats Tommy Paul in Paris Masters Quarterfinals
Ben Shelton reached the Paris Masters semifinals by beating Tommy Paul 6:4, 4:6, 6:3, eliminating his compatriot from the ATP Finals and securing Frances Tiafoe's tournament debut.

Ben Shelton defeated fellow American Tommy Paul 6:4, 4:6, 6:3 on Friday in an all-American quarterfinal at the Paris Masters, advancing to his first semifinal since the US Open. This marks his second ATP Masters 1000 semifinal of the year, having previously won the title in Montreal.
The victory by the world number 4 knocked his compatriot out of the race for the ATP Finals in Turin and secured a spot for 28-year-old Frances Tiafoe, who will make his debut at the season-ending tournament.
One spot remains among the top eight, which will go to young Spaniard Rafael Jodar, provided his compatriot Carlos Alcaraz defeats Taylor Fritz later tonight. If Fritz pulls off an upset in Paris, he will become the third American in the tournament, scheduled to take place in Turin from November 15 to 22.
Following the injury to Jannik Sinner, the confirmed participants for the ATP Finals include Alexander Zverev (Germany), Carlos Alcaraz (Spain), Ben Shelton (USA), Daniil Medvedev (Russia), Flavio Cobolli (Italy), Arthur Fils (France), Frances Tiafoe (USA), and Rafael Jodar (Spain) or Taylor Fritz (USA).
