Maccabi Tel Aviv Eyes Bursaspor Guard Javon Freeman-Liberty
Maccabi Tel Aviv is targeting American guard Javon Freeman-Liberty from Bursaspor following Iffe Lundberg's injury. The club seeks compensation to finalize a deal.

Maccabi Tel Aviv is eyeing American guard Javon Freeman-Liberty as a potential reinforcement following Iffe Lundberg's injury and the collapse of negotiations with Killian Hayes. The yellow-and-blue side has been scouring the market for weeks, with the Bursaspor standout emerging as a primary target.
According to Turkish sources, the 27-year-old guard, standing 1.90 meters tall and boasting past NBA experience with the Toronto Raptors, is currently under contract until the end of the season. Bursaspor has thus far resisted releasing him, meaning any potential transfer would require a financial compensation agreement.
Freeman-Liberty, capable of playing both guard positions, has posted impressive figures this season in the Turkish League, averaging 18.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 2.8 assists per contest. Meanwhile, Maccabi recently cooled talks with Serbian free agent Nemanja Nedovic, as the club prioritizes a playmaker who can strictly handle point guard duties.
