The Sea of Galilee water level stands at 213.70 meters below sea level, according to data released by the Water Authority. Despite weekend rainfall, the lake level rose by only one centimeter and remains 70 centimeters below the lower red line. The water level is currently 39 centimeters lower than on the corresponding date last year.

According to the Water Authority, only about 20 millimeters of precipitation fell over the Sea of Galilee basin during the weekend. The impact of the rains on the flow of the Jordan River has been minimal, with the river discharge remaining at six cubic meters per second. Most of the precipitation from the recent weather system concentrated along the coastal plain, particularly in its southern sector, limiting its effect on northern water sources.

A historical perspective reveals that while current levels are low compared to the past decade, even lower levels were recorded in November 2017 and 2018. In November 2017, the lake level was 58 centimeters lower than today, and by November 8, 2018, it was 94 centimeters lower. The recent rains have yet to generate a significant change in the overall hydrological balance of the lake.
