Givati Brigade Soldiers Endure Severe Rodent Infestation and Neglect at Sde Teiman Base
Soldiers at the Givati Brigade base in Sde Teiman report severe sanitation issues, including a massive mice infestation, garbage, and lack of food during weekends.

Soldiers stationed at the Givati Brigade headquarters in Sde Teiman are enduring severe sanitation conditions, including widespread garbage, pigeon droppings, and a massive rodent infestation. According to the troops, mice have overrun offices and living quarters, chewing through documents, electrical wiring, uniforms, and mattresses.
"Everything is upside down here, garbage all over the base, unfit living quarters, and tons of pigeon droppings," a female soldier at the headquarters said. "There is no solution for anything, there is insane neglect here." The troops report that mice began appearing in offices roughly eight months ago, destroying equipment and food supplies before eventually spreading to the sleeping quarters.
Despite repeated appeals to the command chain and base leadership, soldiers say they receive no effective assistance. "The commanders refer us to the regimental sergeant major, they say it will be handled, but in practice nothing happens," the soldiers stated. Left with no support, personnel have resorted to purchasing their own traps out of pocket.
Additionally, service members pointed to food shortages during weekends when the dining facility and mobile food trucks remain closed, forcing them to bring provisions from home or spend personal funds on meals. The IDF has not yet issued a response to the reports.
