An Israeli resident of Samaria was arrested following a violent assault and carjacking near Ramallah, as police recovered weapons and military gear from his vehicle.
A 20-year-old Israeli resident of Samaria was arrested on suspicion of involvement in a violent assault and carjacking targeting a Palestinian in the village of Ein Yabrud, near Ramallah.
Police reported that officers of the Judea and Samaria District identified a vehicle matching the description of a suspect's car on Route 60 near Ofra. After the driver refused to stop, police blocked the vehicle and arrested him. A search of the suspect yielded a knife, an airsoft pistol, pepper spray, a drone, and military equipment.
The incident follows a similar attack two days prior in the same village, where masked individuals beat a father and son and stole their car. Meanwhile, Palestinians reported that individuals posing as IDF soldiers attacked a family overnight in the village of Talfit, south of Nablus. The Red Crescent evacuated three injured individuals to Rafahia Hospital, while the IDF stated the incident is under review.
